Uncovering beauty in a piece of clay
We never know when creativity will strike us next, but when it does, it can change us quickly and in unexpected ways. This is what recently happened to a friend of mine, who went from not doing pottery at all to crafting beautiful pieces and perfecting her art in less than one year.
She recently invited me into her studio for me to document her process; taking a raw piece of clay, shaping it, trimming it, and transforming it into a beautiful cup. It is incredible to think that in every piece of clay, there is beauty waiting to be uncovered, all it takes is passion and masterful hands. Here is her process.
